Lolita’s Legacy™ Teacher Training - Starting June 2026
500 hour mentorship-based training for future traditional Pilates teachers
Lolita’s Legacy™ is a nationally recognized teacher training program designed by Pilates Elder Lolita San Miguel, dedicated for practitioners choosing to study the Pilates method deeply. The program offers a rigorous and personal path into teaching through the lineage of Ms. San Miguel, one of Joseph Pilates’ direct protégés, and one of only two instructors personally certified by him. Lolita's Legacy training path builds 3rd generation Pilates Trainers.
Set within a working studio environment, the program emphasizes observation, practice, mentorship, and the development of thoughtful, skilled teachers in a 4 System method spanning 9 - 12 months.

This is not a high-volume certification program. It is a small cohort training designed for practitioners who want to understand the method in depth and develop into capable, observant teachers. Each cohort is limited to six trainees so that learning remains personal, rigorous, and highly supported.
Practical Studio Immersion
Trainees learn within the daily rhythm of a working Pilates studio, where observation, teaching development, and professional standards are part of the learning environment.
Deep Developmental Work
Individualized guidance
Direct and ongoing feedback
Greater accountability
Stronger peer relationships
Lineage-Based Path to 3rd Generation Pilates Trainer
The training is rooted in the work of 1st generation Pilates Instructor, and Pilates Elder Lolita San Miguel. She preserves a direct lineage of the highest caliber from Joseph H. Pilates.
Emphasis on teaching, not just repertoire
Learning the exercises is only one part of becoming a teacher.
This program also develops observation, communication, progression, and professional presence.
Desire to Teach Professionally
Ideal candidates have a consistent Pilates practice, are curious about how the method works, appreciate structure, progression, and precision and want to help others move well, and are interested in teaching professionally.

Lolita's Legacy Teacher Trainer - Artemis Anderson
Artemis Anderson is a second-generation Pilates teacher in the lineage of Lolita San Miguel, a direct protégé of Joseph Pilates. Her work is grounded in the clarity, structure, and elegance of the classical system, with an emphasis on understanding how exercises function, progress, and apply to individual bodies. Artemis leads a comprehensive 500-hour certification covering Mat, System I (Beginner), System II (Intermediate), and System III (Advanced).

At Bright Star Pilates, she has built a studio where the work is practiced intentionally, and teacher training is approached as an apprenticeship rather than a certification. Programs are intentionally small, allowing for meaningful mentorship, real studio experience, and thoughtful progression. Her teaching is direct and supportive, helping trainees develop both confidence and depth.

Artemis is committed to developing instructors who carry the Pilates method forward with integrity, clarity, and respect for its lineage.
